The European Commission asks for your views on blue growth co-operation priorities for the North Sea area

15 April 2016

The European Commission (DG Maritime Affairs and Fisheries) is asking public and private stakeholders to provide input on challenges and opportunities for strategic transnational co-operation. The Commission is particularly interested in getting feedback on what needs to be done to facilitate and accelerate strategic public private initiatives that can maximize joint business opportunities in blue growth areas/value chains in the North Sea region. The input provided is intended to help prepare the recently announced Workshop on strategic cooperation on Blue Growth in the North Sea (20-21 June 2016, The Hague, The Netherlands).

The Commission has launched an online survey, in order to collect views and experience from stakeholders and potential workshop participants. To make sure a representative group of stakeholders are present in a balanced way, participation will be on an invitation only basis. One can express its interest in participating to the workshop in the survey.

Interested stakeholders and potential participants are encouraged to fill in the survey before 25 April 2016.

The survey results will not only be used to help structure the workshop discussions and agenda, but they will also be included in a background paper to all interested stakeholders.
