Port of Gdynia to become an offshore wind hub

10 September 2021

The Polish Port of Gdynia Authority S.A. is preparing to be a future offshore wind hub, supporting the attractiveness of the port to project developers. With a strong port infrastructure, Poland can become an export hub for the offshore wind supply industry, as it has announced a target to deliver 11GW of offshore wind by 2040. Broader offshore wind ambitions in the region have been highlighted by the Baltic Sea Offshore Wind Declaration signed by eight Baltic Sea countries and the European Commission in September 2020.
