Ports of Trelleborg and Lübeck agreement for fossil free green corridor

The ports of Trelleborg and Lübeck, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a fossil fuel-free green shipping corridor by 2040. The corridor is further supported by the transport ministries of Sweden and Germany.
In a joint statement, the parties highlighted that the project is considered a green shipping corridor as defined by the Clydebank Declaration, to which both Germany and Sweden are signatories. They also indicated that the MoU and the planned activities are directly related to the EU's "Fit for 55" strategy.
