The APBA replaces more than 60% of its mobile fleet with electric and hybrid vehicles

The Port Authority of Algeciras will renew 36 of the 57 vehicles in its fleet in the coming months following the acquisition of electric and hybrid vehicles. Among them are 12 patrol cars and 6 Port Police motorcycles. Added to this, is the incorporation of 5 new electric vehicles into the fleet of the port body. Furthermore, the Port Authority will install the necessary infrastructure to recharge this type of vehicle in various areas of the port facilities of Algeciras, Tarifa and Campamento (San Roque), with the aim of promoting the use of electric automobiles among workers, customers and users. In total, the institution will offer 38 charging points on its premises with low-voltage electricity supply.
