New park at Maashaven, Port of Rotterdam

The Park Maashaven at the Port of Rotterdam Authority combines the dynamism of the port and river with a big public park that features two large slopes, lawns, a public square and a boulevard. The area allows for the residents of surrounding neighbourhoods and other Rotterdam citizens to stroll, sunbathe, play, or have a picnic. A new 7-ha meeting point with room for inland shipping will be created. Plans include a tidal park where plants pop into view twice a day.
