Port of Vigo: Sunset Dock

This Sunset Dock project of the Port of Vigo includes a set of actions to increase biodiversity in the port area and reduce emissions. At first, studies were made to look at how to project biodiversity in the port waters. Then, structures built to foster growth of flora and fauna in the port waters were designed and installed. Following the success of these structures, further initiatives are being implemented to increase biodiversity in the port. The final objective of the project is to build the ‘sunset dock’ for recreational use by the local community, where a local eco-reserve is on show.
