Port of Antwerp: Agriculture Innovation Fund to stimulate nature-inclusive agriculture

06 May 2021

Together with the partners in the Great Saeftinghe nature park, a green area straddling the border between Belgium and the Netherlands, the Port of Antwerp has issued a Request for Proposals aimed at farmers on the left bank of the Scheldt, as part of a drive to promote nature-inclusive agriculture. The goal is to contribute to improving the quality of the natural environment and help to pave the way for the sustainable future of agriculture. An Agriculture Innovation Fund has been set up to stimulate innovative solutions. The fund aims to encourage farmers to integrate biodiversity concerns, such as landscaping and nature protection, into their activities.
