Copenhagen Malmö Port (CMP) close to having a fossil-free vehicle fleet and machine park

11 August 2022

In line with its goal to be climate neutral by 2025, the Copenhagen Malmö Port (CMP) is very close to offering a fossil-free vehicle fleet and machine park, in both Copenhagen and Malmö, to its customers. To do so, the port is replacing diesel-powered cars and staff buses at the terminals with electric powered vehicles. This helps lowering the emissions at the port site. Moreover, the electricity used comes from renewable sources, such as hydro, wind, or solar power.

CMP is also shifting its fossil-fuelled machines and cranes to run on hydrogenated vegetable oil (HVO), offering an improved work environment with less emissions of hazardous particles to its personnel.
