Port of Algeciras: LIFE REMoPaF Project

This project of the Port Authority of Algeciras aims to recuperate the local Patella Ferruginea population, an endemic Mediterranean gastropod, currently listed as an endangered species. The projects consists in the translocation of some specimens of the species from Melilla to Algeciras, located with the help of the 3D print technology technology AIMS (Artificial Inert Mobile Sustrat). Since the project began in 2016, two translocations have been carried out, with a survival rate of 90%.
