OPS working group set up at the Port of Barcelona

The Port of Barcelona and cruise lines have teamed up to work on shore side electricity (OPS). The electricity will come from 100% renewable sources. Once electrified, cruise berths will see the reduction of 66,000 tonnes of CO2 and 1,234 tonnes of NOx from port activity emissions. The first ships will be able to connect as early as 2026.
