North Sea Port: Upgrading building infrastructure to the highest energy efficiency standards

North Sea Port will replace existing street lighting with LED lighting in the entire Belgian part of the port in the next three years. This is a first step in the implementation of the Canal Zone Lighting Plan (drawn up in 2011) with the various partners and municipalities. Replacing all lighting with LED lighting will result in lower energy consumption, less CO2 emissions and less light pollution. This will complete the work started a few years earlier to install LED lighting on the Dutch side of the port.
