The ESPO Annual Report 2006-2007-ITMMA Market Report is the first annual report ESPO produces in co-operation with the Institute of Transport and Maritime Management Antwerp (ITMMA).

It contains a comprehensive and practical overview of the major developments and trends in the container, ro-ro, conventional and bulk market segments of European ports. It furthermore provides clear insight in the policy implications for European port authorities and thus makes the link with the work of ESPO which is described in the second part.

This report also demonstrates that the European port sector is generally well-performing and in good health. It stresses the need to refrain from strong legislative intervention, but to focus on guidance, clarification and best practice instead.
