GreenPort Congress 2014: improving the relationship between ports, users, customers and stakeholders

This year, the 9th GreenPort Congress is taking place from 15 till 16 October in Barcelona. Delegates are invited to register online before 20 August to enjoy the early bird rate.

Discussion sessions, working groups and great networking will all be on the agenda at the Greenport Congress to be held at the World Trade Centre in Barcelona. The programme will focus on improving the relationship between the ports, its users, customers and stakeholders, who will all be involved throughout the programme. Hosted by the Port of Barcelona, it will touch on policy but concentrate on practical solutions to everyday problems facing maritime ports and terminals today.

Industry stakeholders, will all come together to learn, discuss, debate and network at the two day Congress and its associated social events. These include an evening Welcome Reception on 14 October 2014, the Gala Dinner on 15 October 2014 and a Tour of Barcelona Port on 17 October 2013, all of which are included in the delegate fee.  

Furthermore, the 2nd GreenPort Cruise Conference will take place on 14 October 2014 in the same venue and will highlight the environmental and sustainability issues facing Cruise terminals across the world. Attendees at the Cruise Conference will be invited to join the GreenPort Congress welcome reception on the evening of 14 October 2014.

Registrations for the Congress are open with an early bird rate, which is available until 20 August and saves 20%. After this, ESPO members get a 10% discount and members of the ESPO Sustainable Development Committee and of EcoPorts will receive a discount of 40%. Furthermore, members of the ESPO Passenger Committee will also get a 40% discount on the Cruise Conference fee.
