17 compagnies join Port of Rotterdam Authority’s campaign for sustainable fuel

Following the 'Switch to Zero’ joint campaign by the Port of Rotterdam Authority and GoodShipping (see this article), seventeen companies, together with the shipping company Samskip, will save 2023 tonnes of CO2 emissions in 2023 by using sustainable biofuel on several ships. This initiative contributes to reducing carbon emissions from shipping, emphasising a shift towards sustainable practices. GoodShipping collaborates with various firms, utilising certified sustainable sources like waste oils and animal fats to produce advanced biofuels, thus not competing with food production. This concerted effort signifies a step toward a more sustainable future in the shipping industry and addresses the sector's carbon footprint.
