Interreg project SMOOTH PORTS to fight port-related road traffic CO2 emissions
27 September 2022
By engaging stakeholders from administration, port-related and logistic businesses along the supply chain, the SMOOTH PORTS project aims to reduce CO2 emissions from port-related road traffic by improving regional policy instruments in a holistic manner.
A key focus lies on finding optimal procedures for the clearance of the goods that are so vital for society and commerce – making their processing speedy and avoiding unnecessary burdens on environment and people. A further focus will be on the different approaches regarding Information and Communications Technology solutions for various traffic-related port activities as well as on the alternative fuels that could power port activities in the future.
The project runs until 31 January 2023. More information
