Locally-produced green energy in the Port of Tallinn

06 May 2021

In a continuation of its efforts to increase its use of renewable energy, the Port of Tallinn will now only consume green electricity produced in Estonia. A new agreement between the Port and Eesti Energia foresees the supply of 10 GWh of renewable electricity in 2021 to the Port, which will allow to save 7,000 tons of CO2, which would otherwise have been released in the air. This is an important step forward to achieve the Port’s ambition to reduce its ecological footprint and to become climate-neutral.
