Onshore power supply (OPS) for container ships launched in Sundahofn port in Reykjavik

In December 2022, the port of Sundahofn in Reykjavik officially launched the onshore power supply (OPS) for container ships The provision of OPS will save 240 tonnes of fossil fuel per year, equivalent to 750 tonnes of CO2 emissions. It will also reduce emissions of air pollutants such as nitrogen oxide and soot, and improve noise levels.
