Port of Hirtshals: Commercial and Sustainable Energy Production

06 May 2021

At the end of 2019, four wind turbines were put up at the Port of Hirtshals. The turbines were established without any public subsidies and are run solely on commercial terms. Only a month after being put into use, they indicated a positive electricity curve for the port and the town. In certain periods, the electricity production has even been 50% higher than usage. The port is thus contributing directly to greener electricity production.
